I apologize that my blogging over
the last few weeks has been rather scarce. I’ve kind of been busy doing all
those things I blog about! Chicken coops needed cleaning and the flocks were
moved. The baby bunnies needed to be weaned and sent with their new owners.
More soap experiments needed to be conducted. Beans, pineapples, strawberry
jam, and mustard needed canning. The mending pile was out of control. Herbs
needed to be harvest, dried, and put away. Oh, and we had our semi-annual
sausage-making weekend in there, too, and the Kenny Chesney/Tim McGraw Brothers
of the Sun concert, along with all of the usual activities of daily living.
I thought things were supposed to
lighten up now that most of our regular activities ended. I guess not. Sigh.
Anyway, for the second month in a
row, I menu planned for the entire month! If you don’t plan your meals for the
week, I highly recommend your start. If you’ve been weekly menu planning for a
while, I definitely recommend trying your hand at planning a full month’s worth
of meals. It is so worth it. I went one step further for June, and I wrote out
my weekly grocery lists for the month, which only took about 15 minutes. Those
lists are sure going to come in handy!
I pray you have a blessed week
with less stress because you created a menu plan!

DeleteBetty,
ReplyDeletePlease don't apologizing for things that continue on in life. We all know when you have a farm, family, garden and or animals things must get done, life doesn't stop just for blogging.
You've been extremely busy, I'm looking forward to reading posts in the future on soaps you've experimented with. Eventually, I would like to get into making soaps. That is when other chores slow down :-)
Great idea with the menu planning, we do this every two weeks and it sure saves all the way around.
Have a great day and remember give yourself sometime during the day to relax.
Dear Sandy, your words of encouragement really made my day!! What a blessing to have such sweet visitors! And yes, I did enjoy a nice cup of tea this afternoon. Thanks to you!
